Contact Forms Manager for Listeo: Client Guide
Client guide for assigning Contact Form 7 forms by listing type or category, using AI-assisted form creation, and validating frontend delivery.
What it solves
Different listing types often need different questions. A hotel inquiry form is not the same as a restaurant reservation request, a service quote, a real estate lead, or a classified listing message. This plugin helps you map forms by listing type and category so visitors see a form that matches the listing.
Requirements
- WordPress with Listeo installed.
- Contact Form 7 installed and active.
- Administrator access.
- A valid plugin license when required by your package.
- Working email delivery through your host or SMTP provider.
Initial setup
- Create the Contact Form 7 forms you need, or use the plugin AI workflow to draft them.
- Open the Contact Forms Manager settings screen.
- Create mappings for listing types, categories, or default fallback behavior.
- Save settings.
- Open several public listings and confirm that each one displays the correct form.
- Submit test entries and confirm that the emails arrive at the correct inbox.
Recommended mapping strategy
Start simple. Create one default form, then add specific forms only where the visitor journey really needs different fields. Too many forms can become harder to maintain than one well-designed form.
| Scenario | Recommended approach |
|---|---|
| Most listings need the same questions | Use one default form and only a few exceptions. |
| Different listing types need different workflows | Map forms by listing type first. |
| One category has special requirements | Add a category-specific mapping for that category. |
| Owners need messages sent to listing emails | Confirm the listing has a valid email field and test the mail template. |
AI-assisted form creation
The plugin can help generate form markup and mail configuration for Contact Form 7. Treat AI output as a starting point. Review every field name, required field, consent text, email recipient, and mail body before using it on a live site.
Testing checklist
- The correct form appears for each tested listing type.
- The correct form appears for category-specific listings.
- The fallback form appears when no mapping matches.
- Required fields work correctly.
- Emails arrive at the right inbox.
- Spam protection and consent text are appropriate for your site.
