Listing Albums for Listeo Version 1.0 15 min read Updated Jun 30, 2026
Purpose. Listing Albums for Listeo replaces a flat listing gallery with structured albums, package-based limits, collaborative uploads, moderation, and a cleaner browsing experience for visitors.

What the plugin adds

Standard Listeo galleries are useful, but large listings often need better organization. This plugin lets a listing group media into albums such as Rooms, Menu, Exterior, Events, Team, Before and After, Portfolio, Facilities, or any structure that fits the directory.

AlbumsCreate multiple albums per listing with titles, descriptions, cover images, and image ordering.
Package limitsControl whether a package includes albums, album count, images per album, and total images.
CollaborationAllow selected contributors to upload images when collaborative uploads are enabled.
ModerationReview pending uploads before they appear publicly.

Requirements

  • WordPress with Listeo installed.
  • Administrator access.
  • Listing packages configured if you want package-level album limits.
  • A valid plugin license when required by your package.

Initial setup

  1. Install and activate the plugin.
  2. Open the Listing Albums settings screen.
  3. Enable the listing tab if albums should appear as a public listing section.
  4. Decide whether collaborative uploads are allowed.
  5. Create or edit your Listeo packages and configure album permissions and limits.
  6. Test one listing from the frontend and the admin screen.

Package settings

Albums can be controlled at package level. This lets you create pricing tiers such as no albums, limited albums, unlimited-style premium packages, or collaborative upload packages. Review package rules carefully before selling or assigning packages.

Package controlWhat it affects
Albums enabledWhether listings using the package can use album features.
Albums limitHow many albums the listing owner can create.
Images per albumHow many images can be placed inside each album.
Total images limitMaximum images across all albums.
Collaborative uploadsWhether contributors can upload images to the listing albums.
Daily collaborative limitHow many collaborative uploads are allowed per day.
Require approvalWhether uploaded images must be moderated before publication.

Creating albums

  1. Open a listing that has album access through its package.
  2. Create an album with a clear title and optional description.
  3. Add images from the media library or upload new images.
  4. Choose the cover or featured image when needed.
  5. Drag images into the correct order.
  6. Preview the public listing and confirm the album layout.

Collaborative uploads

Collaborative uploads are useful for venues, agencies, event organizers, restaurants, photographers, and teams where more than one person contributes media. Use approved contributors instead of opening uploads broadly. If approval is enabled, uploaded images remain pending until a moderator approves them.

Moderation workflow

  1. Open the moderation screen or the frontend moderation page if configured.
  2. Review pending images for quality, relevance, permissions, and duplicates.
  3. Approve valid uploads or reject unsuitable uploads.
  4. Confirm that approved images appear in the correct album.
Content safety. Only approve images that are relevant to the listing and that the contributor has the right to upload. Media moderation is both a quality control and legal risk control step.

Shortcodes

The plugin includes shortcodes for album display and moderation workflows. Site builders can place these on controlled pages when the default listing tab is not enough.

ShortcodePurpose
[listeo_albums]Displays listing albums where the plugin can determine the listing context.
[listeo_albums_moderation]Displays a moderation interface for pending collaborative uploads.

Quality checklist

  • Album titles are short and useful.
  • Cover images are clear and visually consistent.
  • Package limits match your pricing model.
  • Collaborative uploads are limited to trusted contributors.
  • Pending uploads are reviewed before public display.
  • Mobile album layout is checked before launch.
