Follow Alerts for Listeo v1.6.0 - What’s new

For visitors who are not signed in, the Follow button on a listing looked nothing like the one signed-in visitors see — a thin outlined pill in the plugin's own colour, parked at the bottom of the organizer card instead of under **Send message**. Listeo prints a different **Send Message** button for signed-out visitors, and the follow button was only looking for the signed-in one, so it had nothing to copy its appearance and position from. It now recognises both, so guests and members see exactly the same button, in the same place, in your site's own colours.

On an organizer card that also offers **Chat via WhatsApp**, the Follow button could copy the WhatsApp button's green instead of the **Send message** colours. It now always follows **Send message**.

The Follow button no longer stretches oddly on narrow screens for signed-out visitors.

The organizer card's **Send message** button was drawn a size larger for signed-out visitors than for signed-in ones, and it was missing its envelope icon. Both buttons on the card now look the same whoever is looking at the page.

Changed: **Following is now a single click.** Pressing **Follow** no longer opens a form. The follow is recorded straight away using the site's own defaults, and a short confirmation appears saying it worked.

Changed: Every follower choice — which channels to use, which updates to be told about, and how often — now lives in one place: the follower's own preference screen. The confirmation carries an **Edit follow settings** button that opens exactly that screen for that organizer, with its real address, so nobody has to hunt for where those settings live.

Changed: Once you are following, the Follow button itself becomes a direct link to that same preference screen.

Changed: Following requires an account. A visitor who is not signed in and presses **Follow** is taken straight to the site's own sign-in and registration popup, instead of a form asking for an email address.

On a listing page, the Follow button moved out of the organizer's name block and now sits directly under the **Send message** button, where actions belong.

The Follow button now looks the same on an organizer's profile page and in the listing organizer widget, and uses a single colour throughout: outlined before you follow, filled once you do. Hover, keyboard focus, pressing and the saving state all stay within that one colour.

On an organizer's profile page the Follow button no longer flashes one colour and then changes to another while the page loads. It is drawn once, already in the right state, and is never re-checked afterwards.

The **Frontend appearance** preview in the admin now shows what visitors actually see — the Follow button in both states, the confirmation, and the choices a follower edits on their preference screen.

**Followed organizers** is now a real Listeo dashboard screen. It sits in the dashboard menu beside My Profile, keeps the dashboard sidebar visible, and is built entirely from Listeo's own summary tiles, list boxes, buttons and switches, so it reads as a native theme feature rather than a bolted-on page.

Editing one organizer's alerts no longer sends the follower to a separate page. Choosing **Manage preferences** opens the editor inside the same dashboard screen, with a **Back to followed organizers** link, and saving returns you there.

Signed-in followers who open a notification-preferences link from an email now land in their dashboard automatically instead of on a standalone page outside it.

The signed preference page used by recipients without an account was rebuilt with Listeo's dashboard components, so it matches the rest of the site, including dark mode.

Channels and alert topics are now Listeo's own on/off switches, and the whole experience follows the theme's colours, typography and dark mode instead of a separate plugin palette.

Addresses are now readable and shareable. Each organizer has its own clean address, `/followed-organizers/organizer-name/`, instead of a numeric code, and saving or unfollowing no longer leaves technical text such as `?updated=saved` in the address bar — the confirmation message is shown once and the link stays clean enough to bookmark or share.

Every organizer in the list now shows its settings as labelled lines — Channels, Notify me about, Frequency — using the same layout as the Bookings screen, instead of a row of small grey tags.

Channels, alert topics and delivery frequency are now clear selectable cards. The ones you have switched on are highlighted in your site's own main colour with a matching icon, and the frequency in use is marked with a tick, so the active setup is obvious at a glance.

The browser tab now shows the organizer's name while you edit their alerts, and those private screens are kept out of search engines.

Sites with the workspace language set to English could hit a white screen or a "maximum call stack" error, because reading that setting triggered an endless loop while the plugin's own wording was being prepared. The setting is now read safely and the pages load normally again.

The Follow preferences popup is now noticeably shorter and easier to read — channels, alert choices and frequency sit in a clear two-column layout on desktop, so visitors see everything at once instead of scrolling through a long form.

Alert choices show a live "selected of total" counter, and the frequency step is now a single tidy switch with a one-line explanation of the option in use.

A large native checkbox could appear on top of the Email/SMS choice on some setups. The choices now always show the plugin's own tick, exactly like the alert-topic cards.

The popup's close button now shows a properly centred "×" in a clean round control instead of an off-centre glyph.

The reassurance and verification notes moved to a quiet footer, and the header is more compact, keeping the focus on the actual choices.

Follow controls, Greek defaults, responsive preference fields and ListingPilot admin dialogs now render reliably alongside Listeo and Listeo Core on desktop and mobile.

Every Follow & Alerts administration screen now uses the same Listeo modern-admin layout, controls, cards, tables and responsive behavior as the ListingPilot directory and widget plugins.

Diagnostic email failures from third-party wp_mail transports are safely contained, recorded in the privacy-safe Debug Console, and shown in a ListingPilot-styled administrator modal instead of a fatal page.

Followed organizers and signed notification preferences now use polished responsive Listeo experiences, clean private URLs, and an isolated page shell that keeps the site header unchanged.

Matched the frontend Follow buttons and preferences popup to Listeo's native button, Magnific dialog, responsive and unfollow-confirmation design system.

A new Email design screen lets you control how the notification emails look and read - colours for headings, text, links, buttons, cards and background, the font and text size, corner rounding, an optional logo, and which parts of the message appear. A live preview shows the result while you edit.

All the wording your followers read in an email is now editable on the same screen, including the subject line, an optional introduction and an extra footer line, so you no longer need to go looking for it elsewhere.

You can send yourself a sample alert email with one click and check the finished design in a real mailbox.

The confirmation and preference-link emails now follow the same design as the alerts, so every message from the plugin looks like it comes from your site.

Alert emails and text messages linked to the listing with a technical address such as ?post_type=listing&p=902 whenever the listing was cancelled, withdrawn or expired. Recipients now always receive the listing's own web address, and it is worked out at the moment the message is sent.

You can now use your own HTML email template instead of the designed layout. Paste your markup, place tokens such as {updates}, {heading}, {logo} and {footer} where each part belongs, and one click inserts a ready-made starter template to build on. Digests keep working, and leaving the template empty returns to the designed layout.

Selecting "My own HTML template" and saving switched back to the designed layout when the template box was still empty. The choice is now kept, the editor opens immediately with a starter template ready to edit, and a clear note explains that alerts keep using the designed layout until you add your markup.

The Follow button now looks exactly like the theme's own Send message button next to it. Its fill, text colour, border, corner shape, text size and hover are read from that button on the page, so the two actions read as one set on any Listeo colour scheme, in both the following and not-following state. A switch in Appearance turns this off if you prefer the plugin colours.

In the organizer box on a listing page, the Send message button could be narrower than the Follow button underneath it. Both actions are now the same full width of the box.

With several ListingPilot plugins active at once, the site could go completely blank — front end and admin. Every plugin now checks the shared licensing component before using it, and all of them ship the same version of it.

The follow form can no longer be used to send confirmation emails to large numbers of people who never asked for them. There is now a limit per visitor address regardless of which email is entered, plus a daily ceiling for the whole site, which protects your domain's ability to deliver mail at all.

Request limits now hold up under simultaneous requests instead of being overshot by a burst.

Twilio SMS replies are no longer rejected on sites where the secure connection ends at a proxy or CDN.

Deleting a follower's data now removes everything belonging to it, with nothing left behind in the database.
