Owners Directory for Listeo v1.5.0 - What’s new

**Fixed: activating the plugin no longer warns about unexpected output.** WordPress reported that "the plugin generated 3 characters of unexpected output during activation", which could break redirects and file downloads on the site. An invisible marker at the very start of the plugin file was the cause and has been removed.

**Fixed: owner cards now follow profile URL changes immediately.** Changing a user's username or author slug no longer leaves the directory card linked to their previous profile address.

**New: a Translations screen.** Owners Directory → Translations lists every word the directory shows a visitor — the search placeholder, the filter dropdowns, the checkboxes, the sort options, the counters, the empty state, the card labels, the pagination — each with its default underneath and an empty box to write your own. The wording fields that already lived on other screens (profile button, registration checkbox, its link, the owner's hide switch) are on this screen too, editing the same setting, so there is one place to translate the whole front end. Anything left empty keeps the default, so an existing language file goes on working.

**The owner's hide switch now sits where it can be seen.** It was landing at the very bottom of My Profile, below the social links. It now sits right under the notification switches, next to the other settings of that kind. Registration → "Where it sits" moves it back down if you prefer.

**Fixed: the hide switch could not be turned off again.** Turning it on worked; turning it off left the owner hidden. The switch is no longer saved by Listeo's generic field loop — the plugin now writes it itself, so on means on and off means off. The same fix closes a second hole: topping up the wallet submits the same form handler, and could quietly change an owner's visibility without them touching anything.

**Filter dropdowns can now list a whole taxonomy.** A dropdown only offered terms that owners actually use, which is why a category or feature that exists could be missing from the list: the terms are counted from *published* listings owned by an account the directory lists, so anything on a draft, pending or expired listing — or on a listing owned by someone outside those roles — was invisible. Filters → "What a taxonomy dropdown offers" now lets you show every term instead.

**The A–Z strip finally speaks Greek.** It used to print a hard-coded A to Z, so every Greek owner sat under "All" and nowhere else — and clicking a Greek letter would not have worked even if one had been printed. The strip is now built from the first letter of your owners' own names: a Greek site gets Α–Ω, an English one gets A–Z, and a mixed one gets both alphabets separated by a hairline. Letters nobody is filed under are simply not shown, so a click never lands on an empty page again, and names starting with a number or a symbol get a `#` bucket at the end. Accents and quotation marks are ignored when filing: «Απόλλων», Άγιος and Αβέρωφ all live under Α. If you would rather print a fixed alphabet, Filters → Search bar now has a "Which alphabet" choice, including one you type yourself.

**Searching without accents, and in Greeklish.** Typing "δοξα" now finds "Δόξα", "πολιτιστικος" finds "Πολιτιστικός" — the final sigma and every tonos are ignored on both sides. And someone on a Latin keyboard typing "doxa", "politistikos" or "eglouvi" finds the same owners, because each Greek name is also indexed in its Latin spellings. It can be switched off in Filters → Search bar if you do not want it.

**Owner names now sort correctly in Greek.** "Άγιος" used to jump ahead of "Αβέρωφ", because a tonos sits earlier in the character table than a plain Α. Alphabetical order now follows your site's own language.

**Profiles open in a new tab.** Clicking a card, or its button, keeps the directory open behind it — with the visitor's filters, their page and their scroll position intact. On by default, and switchable in Owner cards → Card contents.

**Owners can now take themselves out of the directory.** Registration → "Let owners hide themselves" adds a switch to the owner's own Listeo dashboard, under My Profile → Owners directory. Their choice always wins: it does not depend on the visibility mode, and it cannot be undone by anything except them or you. It is worded as *hide me* rather than *list me* on purpose — an owner who saves their profile for an unrelated reason and never touches the switch stays exactly where they were.

**The Users screen now answers "why am I not in the directory?".** A new Directory column shows a tick, or the actual reason: hidden by the owner, opted out, no published listings. The same answer is on their user profile, where you can also undo an owner's own choice if they ask you to.

**Fixed: the directory kept serving stale profiles.** When an owner changed their bio, avatar, phone or social links from their dashboard, the directory went on showing the previous version until the cache expired on its own — up to six hours. Those saves now refresh it immediately.

With several ListingPilot plugins active at once, the site could go completely blank — front end and admin. Every plugin now checks the shared licensing component before using it, and all of them ship the same version of it.

The owner directory no longer leaves old copies of its cached data behind in the database. Each listing edit, review or profile change used to add another full copy — owner contact details included — that only cleared itself hours or days later.

Owners who chose not to be listed, or who did not opt in, are now left out of the cached data entirely instead of being stored and filtered at display time. Their contact details are no longer kept where they do not need to be.

The settings screen now warns you when the directory is set to list everyone without asking them, and points at the opt-in mode.
